As part of an ongoing series we will be following the strip-down and rebuild of Alex Schooledge's ex-BTCC Vauxhall Vectra V97-002.
In my last report I said the engine will go to Swindon, however I have now let Graham Hathaway Engineering rebuild the engine, gearbox and diff.
All Panels, rear screen and rear suspension has been removed. The back panel has some damage.
The hubs and wishbones are very rusty after years of neglect
Engine bay is now totally empty having removed all wiring, suspension top mounts, power steering holder and bottle. Awaits prep then will be painted and engine refitted.
I am now awaiting the bodywork to be repaired and painted. Firstly the engine bay and then the engine will be refitted.
