The following year the car again ran in the British Touring Car Championship, this time driven by Tommy Rustad and run by DC Cook Motorsport. Rustad went on to win the Independents Cup class, taking 5 class wins in the process.
In 2001 the car was purchased by Rob West, who spent the following 3 years obtaining all the parts necessary to get the car running and has now been fully restored to original 1997 livery. During this period the car has been offered for sale on a number of occasions.
In July 2006 the car made it's first outing for many years when it ran at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the hands of new owners Myles and Gavin Hicks, before being shipped to New Zealand. |
