History
John Cleland's 1995 BTCC Championship winning car.Along with the sister car (chassis 023) it was shipped to Australia and used by Jim Richards in the Australian Super Touring Championship.
Both cars were later acquired by Bob Tweedie and used in the 1998/99 Australian Super Touring Championship.
Purchased in 2000 by Mike Newton and returned to the UK where it remained unused until 2008. Now one of 4 cars owned by Newton.
It was widely reported at the time that this car was driven by Cleland at the 2008 Goodwood Festival of Speed, that was actual the chassis 023 running in Cleland's 1995 livery. In fact this car did not appear in public until August 2008 when it was driven by Derek Warwick at Silverstone at part of the BTCC's 50th anniversary display.
