Driven by Steve Soper in the 1994 All Japan Touring Car Championship for the majority of the season. The first race at Tsukuba was run in heavy rain during which was involved in a multi-car accident causing major damage to the car. For the final two rounds of the year, Soper switched to E36/CL2 0097 94.

The remains of the car was returned to BMW. The stripped chassis remained in storage until being offered for sale in 2020.
