History
Run by Schnitzer Motorsport for Joachim Winkelhock in the 1996 British Touring Car Championship.At the end of the season the car was driven by Winkelhock in the Macau Grand Prix, winning the first race but crashing heavily at the start of the second race causing extensive chassis damage. Over the winter of 96/97 the car the car was rebuilt by BMW Motorsport, during which time it received a new out-of-sequence chassis number E36 STC 96/047C.
