Built by Brodie Brittain Racing for team owner Dave Brodie to race in the 1991 British Touring Car Championship.

Brodie would retain the car and over the next 20-30 years would run it in Thundersaloons, Formula Saloons, and similar series. Over the years the car would be extensively modified, with wider arches, more aggressive aero and ever more powerful engine. During this time it would run in 4WD configurations before eventually being converted to 2WD.
