1993 TOM'S GB
TOM'S GB built seven cars - 3 for the factory BTCC team (Will Hoy and Julian Bailey, plus a spare), 2 for Park Lane BTCC junior team (James Kaye and Bobby Vernon-Roe), and 2 for Belgium (Renaud Verreydt and Philip Verellen).1993 BTCC cars were Right Hand Drive, the Belgium cars were Left Hand Drive. The factory BTCC cars had a blue interior, the others were white.
At the Spa 24hrs in addition to the two Belgium cars there was third entry for Hoy, Bailey and Eric van de Poele. This used one of the BTCC cars, most likely the spare.
Julian Bailey's car was rolled during the FIA Touring Car Challenge at Monza and was badly damaged.
At the end of the season one of the factory BTCC cars was sent to Toyota in Japan for testing and assessment, The car was measured, stripped, photographed and eventually scrapped. A second chassis was repainted and converted to a show car. It's not known if Bailey's damaged Monza car was the one sent to Japan or if was repaired enough to become the show car.
One of the ex-factory cars went to James Kaye for 1994 BTCC, and subsequently to Asia in 1995.
One of the Park Lane cars went to Asia in 1994, the other to New Zealand
