History
Built in 1996 by MSD and run in the 1996 24 heures de FrancorchampsThe car was acquired by YAP Motorsport, who ran Eugene O'Brien in the 1996 end-of-season RAC Tourist Trophy. The team had intended to run the car it the BTCC the following year but plans fell through.
The car went back to Prodrive and maintained by them for Richard Kaye to race in the 1997 Moscow Open Championship.
Purchased by Michael Woodcock from Prodrive and raced in Formula Saloons up until early 2002.
Sold to Andy Allen who also raced in Formula Saloons during 2002.
Used by Mark Taylor in 2005 for one round of the Northern Saloon & Sportcar Championship at Oulton Park and 2 rounds of the LMA Euro Saloon Championship at Oulton Park and Mallory Park. The car was then sold to Simon Blanckley, who raced at Rockingham in the LMA Euro Saloon Championship and at Croft for the DDMC Northern Sports Saloon Winter Race.
In 2006 Simon Blanckley raced the car in the LMA Euro Saloon Championship.
The car unused for most of 2007, eventually being sold to John Hammersley who raced it for the first time at the Oulton Park LMA Euro Saloons round in August.
Hammersley sold the car at the end of 2009 to a buyer in Norway, who used the car a just two events between 2009-2013.
Purchased in Jan 2014 by Alex Schooledge. The car would return to the track at Silverstone Classic round of the 2015 HSCC Super Touring Challenge, driven by Schooledge and Paul Rivett.
