History
Built by Rouse Sport in 1993 as a rear wheel drive test mule and tested at Pembrey in that configuration. When the RWD concept was abandoned the car was converted to FWD and used for testing and as a spare shell. It is not know if the car actually raced. At the end of 1995 it's believed it was one of two cars transferred from Rouse to West Surrey Racing, who had taken over the Ford BTCC contract for 1996. The car was used for initial testing and driver assessment, running in 1996 Valvoline livery, although for 1996 the 5-door cars would be used. Following that the car was used as a show.
In 2004 the car was re-fitted with running gear and a 2.5l V6 ST200 engine installed with a view to running it as a track-day car, however the build was not completed and in 2007 the car was sold to Craig Owen.
Over the following 3 years the car was extensively rebuilt and fitted with a 2.0l Duratec engine and in 2011 returned to the track at various Classic Touring Car Club events.
