Purchased as an unused chassis in 1998 by Kim Esbjug and intended to be fitted with the running gear from the damaged 96/004 and used in the 1998 Swedish Touring Car Championship.However when Esbjug realised there was insufficient time prior to the next round to complete the build, he instead bought 97/010 and ran that car instead.
