Built by Janspeed as an appraisal car for BMS Scuderia Italia.

The car would eventually end up in Spain where it was run for Joan Armadans in the 1997 Campeonato de España de Turismos. The car was only used at the Alcañiz round, after which the series was cancelled.

The car was eventually purchased by Mario Hekke, who ran the car sporadically on Spanish hillclimbs, until around 2009 when it was sold to a German buyer. The car remained unused until purchased by Martin Sahl in late 2023.
