History
Built mid-1995 as a replacement for the 4-door car destroyed by Charlie Cox at Thruxton, and utilised much of the engine and running gear salvaged from the earlier car. Making it's début at the Brands Hatch meeting in August it would be the first time that the 5-door hatchback version of the Mondeo had racing in the British Touring Car Championship. At the time Ford Germany were looking to develop a 4WD version of the Mondeo, the road version of which was only available as a 5-door.Raced by Elisabeth Nilsson in the 1996 and 1997 Swedish Touring Car Championship.
