History
Used in the 1995 British Touring Car Championship by Rickard Rydell and Tim Harvey.Used initially as a spare car the following year before being converted to 1996-spec and run in the 1997 Swedish Touring Car Championship by Picko Troberg Racing. Mattias Ekström finshing forth in the Championship.
The car remained in storage until a one-off outing in the final round of the 1998 Swedish Touring Car Championship at Mantorp driven by Patrik Ernstsson, who had been offered the drive as part of his prize for winning the 1997 Volvo S40 Junior series. Ernstsson was involved in a heavy accident, destroying the car.
The remains were returned to SportPromotion where it remained in storage. In 1999 the chassis was melted down, but not before the running gear was transferred into the previously unused bodyshell 850R 008
