History
Originally the test/spare car for the 1998 Campionato Italiano Superturismo for Fabrizio Giovanardi and Nicola Larini.From 1999 to 2001 the car was run by Euro Racingin the Swedish Touring Car Championship, driven by Thomas Schie in 1999 and Kari Mäkinen in 2000/01.
Bought by AK Elektrodekleva in 2006 and raced in the Slovenian Hill Climb Championship under the Team Dekleva DeWalt banner - Slalvko Dekleva winning the championship in 2006, and Igor Dekleva finishing runner-up in 2007.
In late 2007 the car was purchased by Phil Donaghy and imported into the UK. Prepared by St Helen's based AlfaTune, the car made a single outing in the Britcar Production S1 series. Plans to run in the David Leslie Memorial Trophy at the 2009 Silverstone Classics came to a premature end due to a broken driveshaft, after which the car was put into storage.
In 2013 the car was purchased by John Pearson with a view to racing in the HSCC Super Touring Car Trophy.
It's drop-dead gorgeous, but the seat’s on the wrong side and in the back, and as the instruments are labelled in Italian I can’t even switch it on at the moment
