Sold to Brad Jones Racing in 1996 and initially driven by Greg Murphy in the pre-season Australian Grand Prix support and Gold Coast Indycar support races.
After team boss Brad Jones crashed his car during the Gold Coast race, the two swapped cars for the Australian Super Touring Championship, with Jones driving this car and Murphy in the repaired ST03. At the final race of the year Jones would switch to a later 1996-spec car (ST19).
During 1996, the car was also raced by Jones in the Bathurst 1000 support and Macau Grand Prix races.
