History
Run by CiBiEmme / BMW Italy for Johnny Cecotto in the 1996 Campionato Italiano Superturismo. Cecotto would use the car all year apart from the August Pergusa meeting where he would switch to the team's spare car for the second race of the day.Retained by CiBiEmme in 1997 as a spare car, before being sold to West Coast Racing at the start of 1998. Driven to championship victory by the Fredrik Ekblom in the 1998 Swedish Touring Car Championship, and by Peggen Andersson during the 1999 season.
Sold to Frank Valle for the 2000 season, racing in Sweden Championship and one-off Oslo Racing Festival.
Sold to Torbjörn Larsen in 2001, and driven by Bjørn-Arild Martinsen in the Norwegian Special Saloon series.
In 2002 the car was acquired by Hans-Peter Havdal would drive the car in the 2002 and 2003 Norwegian Touring Car Championship, as well as occasional outing in the 2002 Special Saloon series.
Re-acquired by Torbjörn Larsen in 2004. Subsequent history is unknown, although the car did appear at the Super Touring Challenge event in 2004 where it was driven by Jarle Gåsland.
Subsequent sold via Köhler to Sven Krüger and then in 2009 to René Frank. Over the next decade, Frank would run the car in various European hillclimbs.
Sold in late 2020 to Ralph Bahr and Michael Vogt, and returned to original CiBiEmme livery.
