History
Built by Prodrive and believed to have been one of the cars used for the 1997 British Touring Car Championship. In 2002 the car was one of two (chassis 9701 and 9705) acquired by Graham Coomes and run by HDT Racing the Formula Saloons Championship and Dutch Supercar Challenge. Initially Coomes raced 9701, later switching to 9705 before the later car was damaged in an accident at Zolder. At this stage it's not clear specifically which car was used at which race meeting.
In late 2005 both cars were bought by Hombre Motorsport and restored, and at the start of 2006 this car was bought by Derek Hale for use in the LMA Euro Saloons Championship. Hale continued to use the car until 2013.
In mid-2014 the car was sold to Ric Wood, who ran the car in the HSCC Super Touring Car Championship plus selected outing in the BARC NW Sports/Saloons Championship.
