History
Built in late 1996 for Ivan Capelli to use in the final two rounds of the SuperTourenwagen Cup after his regular race car (chassis #22) had been damaged at Salzburgring.In 1997 the car was acquired by Garry Rogers Motorsport and sent to Australia where it was campaigned in the Australian Super Touring Championship by Steven Richards, replacing the Honda Accord he had driven in the opening two rounds.
In 1998 the car was driven in the Australian Super Touring Championship by Adam Kaplan, and at the end of season Bathurst 1000 by Jim Cornish and Blair Smith.
Cornish would remain in the car the following year for the Australian Super Touring Championship; sharing with Roger Townshend at the Bathurst 500.
In 2000 the car was driven by Aaron McGill in the Australian Super Touring Championship
