Following a rebuilt by SportPromotion in 2000, it was used as primarily as a test car for the 2001 Swedish Touring Car Championship, and raced at the Knutstorp round by Hakan Roos. During that race the car was crashed and received heavy damage. The car was dismantled and the running gear transferred to R7-002.
Despite in initial reports that the remains of the shell had been scrapped, in 2012 the still-damaged shell reappeared and was purchased by Björn Hall.
Hall would keep the car until early 2017, when it was purchase by Miguel Marini.
