History
Build by MSD for the 1994 South African Touring Car Championship, where it was driven by Michael Briggs, and later shared by Briggs and John Cleland for the end-of-season International Touring Car ChallengeAt the end of 1996 when both this and the sister car (MSD-TA-007) were sold to Slovenian team Lambko Novial. Dragomil Bozič would drive this car in the 1997 and 1998 FIA Central European Zone Supertouring Championship, plus the local Slovenian Championship.
Sold in 1999 with the engine from 007, and used in the Polish Championship, initially by Maciej Stanco and later sold to Marek Korpys.
In 2001 the car went to Germany and passed through a number of different owners before being purchased by Steffan Irmler in 2015. Following a rebuild the car returned to the tracks at Nurburgring in Jun 2015 for the Tourenwagen Revival meeting.
