History
Used in the 1995 British Touring Car Championship by Rickard Rydell. It's believed that whilst Tim Harvey drove the car during testing, it was always Rydell who raced it. Rydell would also drive it in the end-of-season FIA Touring Car World CupIn 1996 the car was loaned to Volvo Australia and raced in an all red livery by Peter Brock in the Australian Super Touring Championship plus Australian GP and Gold Coast Indycar support events. Brock's commitments in the Bathurst 1000 meant that he was unable to drive in the SuperTouring support race, so Jim Richards was called up in his place,
The following year Richards continued to use the car in the Australian Super Touring Championship, except for the final rounds where it was driven byTony Scott. The car was also used in the Bathurst 1000 where it was driven by Cameron McLean and Jan Nilsson with the car back in the more familiar Volvo blue/white livery.
After the final race of 1997 the car was returned to Sweden under the care of Greger Petersson at SportPromotion, however the ECU was missing from the car meaning it remained unused.
In 2016 the car was relocated to the UK and purchased by Amelie Westbrook.
