Built by Team Dynamics and driven by Matt Neal in the early part of the 1997 British Touring Car Championship, before switching to a Nissan Primera.

When the Primera was sold, Neal would briefly switch back to the Mondeo for the end of season RAC Tourist Trophy.

The car was sold to the Russian Finlandia Vodka Mobil Racing team and run in the 1998 Moscow Open Championship for Andreev Shmikov.

The car remained in storage in Saint Petersburg for the next 20 years before being acquired by a German collector and restored to original livery.
